Home invasion suspects arrested
The two men - a Hardeeville teen and his 20-year-old cousin - wanted in connection to Wednesday’s home invasion in the Windy Lakes subdivision were arrested Thursday night in Jasper County.
Seventeen year old Marion Berry Bowen, 17, of Hardeeville and Kenneth Craig “KC” Bowen of Bluffton, were arrested Thursday night in Jasper County, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Marion Bowen turned himself in to Jasper County Sheriff’s Office investigators. Kenneth Bowen was arrested after investigators located him at a girlfriend’s house in Ridgeland.
The duo face multiple charges in connection with a burglary, armed robbery, and assaults at a Sugaree Drive home early Wednesday morning.
The Bowen cousins are accused of breaking into the home shortly after 3 a.m., holding four people at gunpoint and beating two men – ages 55 and 20 - seriously on the head and upper body, according to authorities.
Authorities continue to search for a third unidentified suspect, described as a white man between the ages of 17 and 21. He is about 5-feet-10 and 170 pounds with red hair. Anyone with information about this person’s identity is asked to contact Investigator Cpl J. Moran at 842-4111 ext. 257 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 524-2777.
