Hardeeville Patriots PeeWee do it again

The Hardeeville Patriots PeeWees won 20-12 in double overtime beating the Estill Gators. Good job boys. What an exciting game. We cant wait to beat the Bluffton Bulldogs on Saturday.

Hurricanes drop a close one

No details but score just came in... The 'Canes dropped their game to the McCormick High School Chiefs by a score of 26-20... Their final game of the season will be next Friday, the 26th, against Southside Christian and will be played at Jasper County High School Stadium in Ridgeland because of scheduling conflict with the Hardeeville Days Festival.

Here's an editorial we're planning to run this Saturday. Let us know what you think and we may publish your comments in the paper:

Get ready to party.
Next weekend, this city and its residents will recognize and commemorate “what makes life in small-town South Carolina worth living” during the annual Celebrate Hardeeville Festival.
If previous city-sponsored activities are any indication, this one’s certain to be a lot of fun.

THANK YOU COACHES

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE COACHES FOR THE HARDEEVILLE PATRIOTS TEAMS. THIS WAS OUR FIRST YEAR PLAYING AND THE COACHES, THE PLAYERS AND EVERYONE INVOLVED HAVE MADE THIS A VERY EXCITING YEAR.

Did you go to the Homecoming Parade?

The folks at Hardeeville Today have made it possible to see the parade in the comfort of your own home. Click on Photos above and look for a picture of some students waiting for the parade. Or you can go to galleries and look for Homecoming Parade.
Let's make this site a popular way to trade ideas, pictures and memories.
Go Hurricanes!

Friday Night Football

The Hurricanes lost to the Dixie High School Hornets 22-27 tonight. It was a pretty close game and it seemed as though the Hurricanes were gaining momentum toward the end, but they just ran out of time. Unfortunately, the penalties were painful and plentiful. The Hurricanes are now 0-7.

What do you think?

Here's the editorial we're planning to publish in Saturday's paper. Let us know what you think:

Yes! Horton votes no.

Councilman Bill Horton took a much-needed stand last week. And we think he should be commended for it.
Faced with the prospect of approving $380,830 in expenditures beyond the city’s approved 2006-07 budget, Horton cast the first “no” vote we’ve seen since we started regularly covering the City Council more than four months ago.

Love or money?

That's the questions this week: In terms of work, is it better to do something you love for less money or something you can barely tolerate for more money? Let's say the difference between the two is around 50 percent, so if you made $50,000 at the job you love, you'd make $75,000 at the job you can barely tolerate.

Congrats to Mr. and Miss Green and Orange
